Thought this was kinda interesting hope some of you do to. Notice how the VDB is "stretched" compared to a normal VDB.Nowhere else on the coin is it "stretched". First photo is the normal VDB.Comments welcome. Thanks for looking,
John1

Thanks Scooby Due I am going to keep it for the "cool" factor since it has no monetary value.

Probably more evidence of Machine Doubling on the coin. Check both sides.

It looks doubled. Can you post a picture of the entire coin?

Keep in mind the VDB is incuse. Thus Machine Doubling only enlarges the area in question. Unlike other devices that are raised.

Seems too drastic to be MD, but there is no documented doubling on that part of the sheild pennies so far. Check out https://www.doubleddie.com and look for the link on these coins for more info. Great eyes however. Attention to detail is a must in this hobby. nice find even if there ends up being no value to it.

Here is the best I can do. I checked the Obv. & Rev. again and I see no MD. Thanks again, John1 2010-LSC-VDB?

I just found one of these while searching a roll. Mine looks the same except it has a huge die crack on the reverse. Here are some pics.

Incuse Machine Doubling is an odd critter that is not normally seen since most US coins have very little to no incuse design details. The incuse Machine Doubling has a similar appearance to die doubling but it is not. I remember someone posting a 2005 California quarter over the summer had that obvious Machine Doubling on all the peripheral devices but the designer initials overlapped just like a doubled die.

Biokemist has it correct - these are just Machine Doubling and have no premium value and are not die varieties.
