I picked up a 1921P morgan today for 18 dollars it is somewhere around EF-40 (i am horrible at grading) when I got home I noticed numerous die cracks. Looked it up at VAM world and it is a VAM-51A. I know the coin itself is very high mintage and not worth but silver. My question is does it being a VAM help with its value?

I don't know the answer to your question Troy, but those are some very good looking pictures.

These are very nice photos,.... and am myself just new to all of this. Very mind expanding to me and will give me a lot of fun work this winter in reexamining my entire collection after many years of just seeing dates and assigning grades....Thanks to you all!

It isn't listed in the VAM view guide but still a dice coin with a good rating, I should think it will carry some weight over normal 21's, perhaps Super Dave can chime in he knows a lot on the 21 series..

checking your last photo against VW the 51A needs an oval looking break
between the A and the M, yours has the top portion of the break towards the rim, but the lower half of the needed break towards the eagle is missing, and its that one feature that defines it as VAM 51A..
so I in this instance I believe this is a VAM 51. not VAM 51A sorry..
