I have my share of junk silver, mostly the Standing Liberty quarter. None of these have dates they are that worn. Is there any point to hold these for more than their silver value?

Silver only. Probably never have any value beyond that. For fun, you could always acid restore the dates on them. They would be considered damaged at that point, but would still have their silver value of course.

If you have any Type I's, those should be worth more than their silver content.

Yeah, post your dateless type 1s. The 1916 can be easily identified and can also easily be worth 4 figures at FR02.

I can do that later when I get some time, but by worn they are all flat chested. You really just have the outline of lady liberty.

1916s can be identified all the way down to the PR-1 level. If you can tell it's a type 1 standing liberty quarter(no stars under the reverse eagle), you most likely can tell whether or not it's a 1916. Several forum members have found them with junk silver.

Or you can sell me all of your type 1's at spot and I'll determine if one is a 16. LOL - I too have a large pile of SLQ's without dates. I've separated all of the type 1's though, and once I have a roll of type 1's I plan to sell it. Just twelve more......

I learned something today. Mainly how to tell the difference in the Liberty. It was easy even though the quarters have no dates and have a lot of wear. I don't have anything special.

Someone I know just told me how he sold all such junk Silver a few months ago and wished he still had it all. Siver keeps on going up and up. Of course you never know. Might drop all the way back down and then you too will say Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda.

sell your dateless coins above the value of silver. That way you could get profit from the coin.
warm wishes.

Spot Silver prices are peaking nicely right now. Who knows what next week will bring, its all speculation! First take the advice of others and separate any type I's. Sell others at the spot silver price when you feel the timing is right. My speculation (guess) is that spot Silver is peaking and will level off close to 22. I also speculate some nice steady jumps in the next few years. But hey, I could be wrong and it could drop right back down in the teens and stay there!
