This is a note that I had put away in a book for about 30 years. Got it when I was a kid. Can't remember where I got it from. My mind isn't what it used to be. I'm not a big currency collector. This is the only note I have from outside the US. I would like to hear any info about it as I know nothing about it. Thanks

Not sure specifically what you want to know but here it goes:

The guy on the front is King Alfonso X. He was the king of several regions in 1200's Spain. Not sure about the building on the back. Looks like some kind of palace or maybe even a government building of some sort.

It's not in the best of shape but still a nice looking old note. I don't have any clue to it's value. I just started buying cheapy notes off of wal-bay recently so I am not that versed in notes yet.

Thanks Irishraider. Wasn't looking for anything in particular. Just wanted to put it on here and pick up any info I could. I doubt it's really worth anything but hey thanks for the info.

Mike,'Banco de Espana' is literally the Castilian Spanish translation of 'Bank of Spain'.'Cinco Pesetas' is '5 Pesetas'.The issuing date is the 22nd of July 1954.It is a interesting note from the Franco era (1936/39-75).

Aidan.
