Well, he's not lying about it being red. Maybe he saw other people selling "red" coins for big bucks, and decided to give it a try!

I sent him an e-mail:
Looks like it's been bathed in red paint! What's up with your pics to make this thing fire engine red? Doesn't even look like a real coin.
Will see what he says.

a slight adjustment of the red hue and this is what the coin looks like,, its possible that this seller has some bad adjustments in his camera or he may even be a bit color blind, and adjusted the color wrong.

Got his response: I don't know if you are complementing the coin, or accusing me of fraud. I'll assume your just curious. First of all, I believe that one would have to be completly insane to paint a coin. Second, whats up with my pics? What do you mean? I hope you don't think I photoshoped them or something. The coin was placed under the proper light and a photo was taken. I did nothing to alter these pictures in any way. As for the coin not looking real, I can't say I disagree with you. This coin is a lot more red that most indians, and it's a key date. THIS COIN IS GREAT & AUTHENTIC!!! I NEVER CLEAN OR ALTER MY COINS (OR PHOTOS) IN ANY WAY!!! Thanks for the question though! Now I feel kind of bad. Perhaps he is color blind!
