So I've been through nearly $1,200 in quarters over the past 2 weeks and still no W mint marks. I'm in Houston and I'm getting them at Wells Fargo. Any tips on if I should try getting quarters elsewhere?
Also, how many of each 2009-2012 low mintage do you all bother pulling? I was thinking to save 4 of each.

Houston got an April 1st drop of new quarters with the w mint mark as well as the end of April drop. So you have a higher chance than cities with one drop only.
I feel commercial area banks go through more change than residential and need to order more to keep up with demand while residential area banks are more likely to take in coin from customers and need to order less new coin into the bank. I think if you can order a $500 box you have a higher chance of getting new coin than just picking up $100 or so in rolls at a time that might be old stock still it's not a guarantee to get new coin.
You could try larger chain stores if they would give you a roll or two. The ones that get armored car pickups and drop offs. But they usually have rules to not give out rolls of coins.
Save what you like of 2009-2012. They are lower mintage than usual but it's not like critical low mintage that will get you rich one day there still 10s of million's to hundreds of millions, not worth the storage space to go crazy with it, just whatever you feel comfortable with is good. I save some too if they are nice, but send them back to the wild if they are beat up.
No easy answer to getting 2019 rolls except to keep looking really and to maybe try order a weekly box from whatever bank you like and hope they turn up in the delivery try to get it regularly, them each week bringing in a new one from the armored carrier and eventually it might be a new uncircualted box when they hit that inventory. Best ideas I have for you and the one I'm using. I spent all of April going from bank to bank picking up $60-$100 at a time trying to find new rolls and nothing. Ordered a box finally and I got a box of new 2019s. My 2nd box was circulated rerolls but were in a sealed box. Both cases crimped on both end white and orange paper quarter rolls.
I'd just say don't give up and keep looking Houston is a big city and they probably hold a few months of inventory for change needs, meaning the carriers and the banks just haven't hit them yet in the stock. The carriers won't send them back to the mint so it's just a time game and getting a bank that has more demand than supply so thay have to order new coins in regularly.
This is all speculation from my experience and observations. Don't get discouraged because it's not happening right away. If you don't look, you won't find them.

I thought about doing this today, as I went to a few grocery stores just to pick up two rolls. I thought about hitting up every grocery store and large department store for 2 rolls, I think I'll do that now, thanks. Every time I go to Target I get BU AMP's back in change, but they refuse to give me a roll! I won't give up on finding the W's! But I think it's taking me longer to search through quarters than it would to just work and buy them lol.... But that's not why we coin collect, is it?

Well ACWammy it's not why I collect, I coin roll hunt and pocket change hunt my entire life and just buy mint sets or proof sets or an ASE if it catches my eye once in a while. My entire collection is from circuLatin and worth likely a couple thousand in face value, which is fine with me if that's all its worth. I still think the sealed box is the way to go, just you might get circulated quarters until a new BU box turns up. Part of the game. If you wanted circulated you'd likely get BU and be cursing the thought of seaching 2K coins with the same design and year. If you do get a BU box though you will get about a dozen or better Ws, and feel like you hit the jackpot. Lol. Eventually the Ws are going to turn up in customer wrapped returns also. Might want to check a couple teller CWR from a bank near that target with the AMP quarters. Possible someone in the neighborhood around there got one and wrapped it up with others in their jar and took it to the bank. No easy answer except to not get discouraged and keep looking, but also I gotta say, don't drive yourself crazy over it either. Make a plan and go with it on a regular, comfortable for you basis, those banks you got a box or two from will need to order another if you keep taking a box from there and eventually they may get a brand new box of BU's for you. Scratch that, the easy answer is to just buy them. Lol. But even with ebay that can be quite a hassle itself. Interesting thing I found funny. I bought 10 rolls of AMP D from an online seller for $14.95 a roll and their site said "guaranteed unsearched for the W mintmark". That was 3 weeks ago, not a single W in the 10 rolls. Checked their website yesterday and now they sell Lowell Ws for $26.95 and AMP Ws for $34.95...... yeah I'm thinking liars.... lol. Fool me once..

I searched through $20 in quarters from a laundromat change machine, and I found 3 1976 quarters, and 1 2010 low-mintage year quarter. I am very happy with my finds.

Haven't posted here in quite some time. I searched a box a day for 2 days and found 5 Massachusetts W quarters the first day. The next day I hit the jackpot with a extra high leaf Wisconsin quarter!
Both from assorted date rolls.

I gave up because I got tired and have to work today so I got some sleep. For this circulated box I'm about 30 rolls in and found 1 2019 W AMP, 6 2009's, 1 Bahamas 25 cents and 1 Canadian 25 cents. Other than that though the rolls have been uneventful, and I found those early on. The W was a surprise I didn't expect since there been no other AMP quarters in there and only a few Lowell Ps, it's lightly circulated some surface scratches and fingerprints. Meh can't really complain a wipe with a cloth got rid of the fingerprints at least but it will definitely be the lowest grade one I've found so far. Maybe I'll give it to my coin guy at the bank.
