I hate it when people put holes into currency. I walked into an antique mall and found a 1849 Large cent for 4 dollars. I looked at the coin and found indents on the heads side of the cent. Now these were about 1 mm diameter and about 2 mm deep. Well that wouldn't be a problem for 1 or 2 indents but this coin had 60+ of these on the face. I bought it and graded it as if the holes were not there. It would have graded in AU condition. I was sad but it was a nice find.

You got a nice find on your hands. I find laminated nickels sometimes. Are they even worth anything or is it the 'neat' factor?
