1897-S Morgan - Acetone & Steam Bring Out The Cameo

CoinMeister Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 10/29/2010 7:13 pm This is the same 1897-S Morgan I posted in the other thread (1897 S Morgan - Choosing 1 of 5 Obverse Photos). I couldn't see the cameo in the photos so I used Acetone and a steam cleaner. What a difference! Can I get some opinions on the grade? thecoinczar Valued Member United States 455 Posts	Posted 10/30/2010 8:12 pm I have looked at the photographs of the coin before you "spruced" it up and I see luster in many areas in the fields. After the procedure the coin appears to be flat and lusterless. I hope that it is just the photograph and not the coin. You should always save the cleanings and restorations to the experts.
