What do you think happened to this one? A reaction to something or ?

I've had this since I was about 8 years old back in 1966.

Those dark marks look like it was kept in an old soft plastic coin holder that was not pvc free or any other plastic holder from years ago.
But like a lot of us, it is a sign of normal aging.

The coin appears to me to have naturally aged and toned. I don't see anything wrong with it. Nice coin.

looks like there is a crack on the face, but I can't be sure what does it look like in hand.?....

aladin, I just looked at it with a loop and it looks like a crack or fine scratch maybe. If it's a scratch it's a very old one.
