Here is a pic of what I was trying to describe. There are two dots at each end of the horizontal line of dots in the left coin, and one dot at the end of each of the horizontal line of dots in the right pic. I have been finding that there are the same number of coins with two dots as compared to the ones with only one dot. I just received my two packs of 10 from the RCM, and found that there were equal number of quarters with one dot compared to two dot quarters. I almost have the copying sorted out.

Hi, enforcer, I'm still confused. What horizontal lines are you talking about?

Inside the Poppy's on both coins, what seems to be lines are really rows of dots. I used a 30X hand held microscope, and the lines are dots. At the ends of the horizontal row of dots or what seem to be a black line, if you can get a more powerful magnifying glass, you will see two dots on the left coin and one dot at the end of the coin at the right. The vertical lines or rows of dots when seen with a 30X magnifier are the same for both coins. I am still trying to better my skill at pics. Sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.

I finally see what you're saying about the black lines and pixels (what you call dots) in the poppies. The weird thing is, each of my 2 rolls is different, same as you. Seeing that it's 50/50 so far I don't really think people are going to stress over IDing both of them all the time. Frankly, I can't believe you found something so miniscule like that. I almost went cross-eyed trying to find what you were explaining; I was looking in the wrong places.

My eyes are not very good for looking at details that others can pick out easily. I have been to a coin store and had a coin handed to me to look at something that we clear to them and I could not see the mark at all. That is why I use such a strong magnifier. Your right about it not being too much of a concern, because they are almost equal in numbers.

I can't see those details at all, even zooming the page a number of times. Must be my old monitor why I can't see same details as you folks seem to see.
My eyes not so good either and I have to scan every coin to see it. My little spyglass can't pick out details unless they are big and obvious, hence the scanning.

Dottir, I am trying to get a camera that can take pictures in fine detail and close up. I will still try and get a good pic, it might take a few days, but I don't give up easily.

I hope you don't take my comments as any pressure EnforcerAl. I was just commenting about what I can see. Like you my vision is gone South a bit. I'm newly learning how to work with my scanner as my only means to magnify my coins enough to see details.
I've been thinking of starting a thread for scanning tips and tricks advice that others might help us newbies learn how to work with scanners to get bigger and better images to post for people to see. Sounds like a number of us new to this could benefit by hearing some tips :)

Castor, that is a great job! I was looking on the wrong end, and with my "Zoom-Text"m, I still could not make it big enough to see! Let me say this, "don't try to pull any wool over Castor's eyes"! Thank you for showing me the light, (or should I say dots)? Dick

Yep, that's it. You had to look in the right place. For a long time I was looking at the maple leaf's veins because they were horizontal. What is meant is the black pixels contained within the red paint/dye. I still can't believe you went through the trouble to find that. How many fingers, son?

Great zoom and "little arrows everywhere - old song" Castor. I can see them now too with the zoom and arrows showing where to look! Thanks you :)

Thanks castor, yep, thats it. I apologize to everyone for not getting the right directions, but castor has done a wonderful job with the pics. You certainly are an expert on getting good shots. Thanks again, take care.
