Does anyone have an album of all of one type of coin? Like Pennies for example. Does anyone have a single album with Indian Heads, Wheat's and Memorials? I'm just wondering because I'd love to do it, but I'm drawing blanks.

Almost all the companies that make albums have these you just have to pick your poison so to speak

What should I search for? I've found a Dansco Nickel album, but I can't find any information on it. I just don't want to buy an album and then have so many pages that the book wont close right.

Well Dansco sells empty binders that are blank or labeled "Nickels" "Cents", etc. and you can put in blank pages. As I recall, they sell a binder with 4-page capacity or 6-page capacity. This is what I have for my classic nickels collection -- 1 page for Shield nickels, 1 page for Liberty nickels, 2 pages for buffalos, and I'm done. I even have a thread somewhere about labeling the holes. Dansco sells an Indian Head cent book (7101), a Lincoln 1909-1958 book (7103), a Lincoln 1909-current (7100), or Lincoln memorials 9159-current (7102) as well as proof versions of many of these. If you search for Ray Komka coins, you can find details on most Danscos, including photos of the pages to see what's really inside.

Yea I've seen the seperate albums for each and that's probably what I'll end up doing. But going to the coin show just yesterday I wanted to do something that sort of stands out. Not that it would be full, but I'd just like to have one Album labeled American Pennies (or something like that). Then when you open it up, it starts with the Flying Eagles and finishes with the LMC all in the same album.

well, you could fit 6 pages in a Dansco binder labeled "cents" (or they will custom label for a fee) that would hold 216 coins. Have you even counted how many coins there are in the set from flying eagles to memorials?
I agree with you that one album transcending the series is cool. That's my nickel album - 1 album for Jeffersons and 1 album for everything else!

Dansco makes blank Binders/albums. The biggest they have is 1 1/4 inch, they list it will hold 7 to 8 pages. The most current 7100 Lincoln Cent album has 7 pages and goes out to 2021-D. The Indian Head cent album has two pages. There is a chance that the 1 1/4 inch album will take 9 pages and not look to bad. This would be possible, but would not have room if you were going to go with proof only issues. If I were going to do this I would order online Dansco 7100 about $25.00 Dansco blank 1 1/4 inch binder about $9.00 Dansco replacement pages for Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents about $5.00 each.

Maybe you should do one album for flying cents through wheat cents, then a separate album beginning with memorials.

Goldrush - I like that idea. I have the 7100 already and I might have to do just that. I could remove the last page and add the two IHC ones. I think I might actually do that.

You guys got me thinking, I can smell the wood burning, does Dansco make custom Albums without pages? It would be nice to get a larger album without pages and then put the pages in from my existing Dansco albums. One album for all the small cents, another for nickles and so on.

Bill069 This might be what your looking for, blank Dansco binders. http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/pro...sco-binders/I think I remember Jbuck called Dansco once. If I remember right they might make custom orders. Or I am thinking you could have something made local, along the lines of a trophy name plate for the front of the blank binder, or even better have a leather emblem.

I have a Dansco album for Flying Eagles and Indian cents, not too far into it, but working at it. I really like idea of having a complete album some day.

AHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh finally I have something over you Dansco people. My Whitman Albums hold many more pages than a Dansco. A Whitman Cent Album holds easily 9 pages and pushing it a bit, you could add 10 pages. Same with most of their other Albums and they make blank ones you could really improvise. And this is exactly what I've been doing. I have one Album with Flying Eagle cents, Indian cents, Lincoln cents from 1857 to present. Naturally I've left out proofs and error coins such as the 55 Double Die or the 22 Plain. Also, started with 1857 since not to easy to find the 1856. And lots of room for expansion. One Nickel Album with Liberty Head, Indian Head, Jefferson nickels and again, no proofs or error coins. Dimes too with one Album from Liberty Head, Mercury, Roosevelt and also a long way to go and also no proofs. One Album with Liberty Head, Standing Liberty, Washington quarters too. Also, with the Cents, I've limited the types so only one variety of the 1960's, 70S's, 82's. Eventually a similar Album for Halves hopefully. As I've said in the past, Whitman makes those blank pages and they sell those press on Gold type letters/numbers so you can make an Album of what you want and I do. Many Binders are capable of 9 to 10 pages too. So there, all you Dansco people.

Quote: I think I remember Jbuck called Dansco once. If I remember right they might make custom orders. That is correct. They guy I spoke to said that they could print just about anything, as long as I was willing to pay for it. Custom printed binders were trivial, but I think custom pages were a bit costlier. Just Carl,
Could you post some pictures? I'm still young into collecting and I'm sure I can be pursuaded away from Dansco (it's what my local dealer told me to collect). I just don't want a binder full of pages made to look like it's exploding.
Here's a question - how about Intercept Shield albums? I know they're expensive, but does anyone here use them?
