I know that it is a Queen Anne medallion/medal, but cannot find out what it commemorates. I know the inscription around the bust translates to "Anna, Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland". The reverse center inscription "qvis separabit" translates to "Who will separate us" ...and is the motto for a number of Irish Regiments ..possible link ? whilst around the edge it has " United by God in Love and Interest".
It is made from bronze, weighs 14g and has a 35mm dia'.
So , can anyone please tell me what it was issued for as I have google blisters on the fingers from the countless searches
Cheers and thanks
Brian.

As I remember, she was the ruler when the United Kingdom was proclaimed, and this refers to not separating the 3 countries again.

Thank you Coinsnpaper, quite an interesting little piece then as it is not the obvious 'battles, victories, coronation etc' which are easier to find but usually in silver.
Cheers.

Just a little more information I have been sent by a helpful coin dealer in Nottingham......

"Quite a nice example that. It is a commemorative medallion for the accession of Queen Anne in 1702. Catalogue references: Medallic Illustrations (MI ii 228), and Eimer 389. Described as common and catalogued £15 - £35, though I would suggest maybe a little more now. Designed by J.Croker, my book tells me "commemorates the strong expressions of mutual confidence which marked the communications between the Queen and the people on her accession".

So I do know now what it is .

Cheers
