OK, Moe. I'm proud of this one, which I got a deal on a few months ago....a solid fine 1875-CC with original color. Sorry, this is the best photo I can get with the coolpix.... Better date Seated coins are darned hard to find outside of the specialty dealers. This one, and a companion 1878-CC quarter in AU, turned up in the same shop. I've also found 1871-CC, 1872-CC and 1873-CC halves, an 1846 Half Dime, and an 1856-S quarter in coin shops, though in low grades.

Jaobler, that's a really nice 1860-S dime. I imagine it was pricey and I'm surprised more people didn't comment.

Quote: Jaobler, that's a really nice 1860-S dime. I imagine it was pricey and I'm surprised more people didn't comment. That dime is in a PCGS slab, conservatively graded VF-30. It was a Teletrade purchase back in 2004 (total cost $170). I like this issue because it's the last year of the stars-obverse design and in 1860 that was only issued from San Francisco. You don't see them very often but they're not all that expensive in grades below EF. Here's a couple no-stars coins from the first two years...
