The design looks OK, although the surface of the reverse seems a bit grainy - but it could be just quality of the scan. Do you have the specs on the coin (size, weight)? A picture of the edge could be helpful as well.

The size is right at 32.3mm, I dont have my own working scales but the 2 sets I weighed it on come in well under at 10 and 11 grams but I cant be sure on the accuracy of those scales. The coin just does'nt look or feel right and I dont have any others in my collection to go by. It's from ebay and I want to be sure before I send it back, are there known fakes of this coin?, I cant see why there would be because it is not a very expensive coin.

correct weight is 14.1 grams, so the alarm bells are ringing ...
And, to get a good weight, take the coin to the Post Office: their scales are good to a gram or so.

Next, try a magnet on it.
Inexpensive coins are, nevertheless, the subject of counterfeiting.
I have a beautiful 1937 Australian Crown that is fake, and you wouldn't pick it from a photo. It is magnetic, and nearly 10 grams underweight. And that is hardly a rare &/or expensive coin.

it's underweight, and the surfaces, particularly the fields look "grainy", which is often associated with fakes made by casting in sand moulds.
On that, I think I'd say "Counterfeit".
If you didn't pay a lot for it, it may be worth keeping as an example of a counterfeit.

Thanks for your replies Peter, I'm sure it's a fake, I didn't pay alot, but as I don't have alot of money to splash around on my coin collecting hobby, I will be returning the coin for a refund.
