Before seeing the blow up pics, I was going to suggest 63-64 PL, after seeing the larger photos I would grade 62 PL at best. If I was shopping as you suggest, thats what I would call it. Personally I would pass as I prefer clean cheeks etc.

Nice pic really, gives it a cameo appearance.
I do think the blemish would be a deduction so I would go MS 63.
65 without the hit. But what do I know?

It was actually graded MS-64 by NGC and I believe it was graded correctly. I sent it back in to NGC for re-grade and attribution on the label for a VAM-70 and they agreed again it was a MS-64
The blow up of the above picture is not much better but I would still say MS-63 and not sure about the PL designation

Good guess,, OZ it is a spear point....1878 MS62PL
I will continue to post coins for all or us to grade,, and as this is a Morgan series you can also guess the VAM.....My hopes are for all of us to see.......the new standards of grading and the old........and to ask WHY>>>>>>,,,,,is it about money? or there responsibillity what ever ........our interest lyies with a comman man/woman buying a coin at our local coin shop......DID I MENTION SPOT PRICE$?O
h I forgot we wont mention it here........


but another coin I will post for your thoughts and you MUST
POST WHY .........of your grade.........your thoughts are welcomed.......
