I am now into my second roll of 2010 Poppy quarters, and with all the errors that I am finding with the 30X glass, how can there be any MS65 quarters. Firstly, with the 8 power glass, I can see many scratchs on the Queens face, and other parts. They sure have been handled very roughly, to a point that I don't know if a person can find a quarter that can be rated as MS65. There is always the I in Elizabeth with extra material on the right side or both sides, and other errors. Am I being too picky? Please give me some direction. Am I using too powerful a magnifier?

6X for grading errors do not effect/affect grade

Thank you coinsrfun, I do not believe that I am the sum total of all knowledge, but it is nice to learn something new. My philosophy is "it is a wasted day if you have not learned something new that day." I use a 8X to look at the general view of the coin, so, with not so good eyesight, I should be able to get a fairly accurate grading of the coin. Thank you again, coinsrfun.

I have a few that seem to have missed all the scratches, and a lot more that have some- just what you would expect for a commercial coin operation, where the coins come into bins one on top of another. Some have a large number of very light scratches, which show up if the light catches them just the right way. Others have heavier scratches or dents, which show the rifling in the edges of the coin. Some- who knows? they were not made to be perfect- they are a circulation issue.
