After finding an 1972 S Eisenhower dollar with Die Trials
I have been keeping my eyes open for these cool varieties
I found a 1988 D Lincoln Cent with Die Trails on both
the Obverse and Reverse. I thought I would share it with
the group.

Very nice images Tery. It is a tough call on this one. The directions of the appearance of trails seems to be in several directions. But sometimes this happens. I would always hang onto unknown ones till you know for sure. The real question is where it is die polishings or trails. But I want to lean toward trails. See what others think?

I collect trail dies and wavy steps and that one is VERY nice,I checked the trail die site and it doesn't list any with trails. You might want to send it to them to be added to there site. The condition is awesome and the photos are great too.Congrats on your find.Did you find it in a roll?

EgCollector, I just began looking for these Die Trails
This only the second one I have seen in hand the first
was my 1972 S Eisenhower dollar That I found just after Brian Vaile
of the Ike Group found the discovery piece of that variety.
I have no idea on the values of these varieties

Coop Thanks Dude on the compliments

John1,Thanks for the photo compliments, I bought this
at a local coin show a few years ago, I looking for Lincoln's
to start out some of the younger kids in the family with
and instead of standing there and looking through the entire
2x2 book that a coin dealer friend of mine had
I just bought the entire book.
And I happen to run across it today and started Really looking
through what was left in there after the kids and the wife went
through them for their Lincoln sets. And there it was.
I think the dealer friend of mine took most of the newer ones
in the book out of mint sets. That is what is marked on the original
2x2 that I took the coin out of to photograph it.

John1,
Thanks for the advise, Sent the pictures to BJ Neff
and this morning he requested that I send the coin
to him for in hand examination.
Sent it out to him this morning.
When looking over the coin for notes to Mr.Neff
on what I saw on the coin I found a lot more going on
with this coin.

Will update the thread with what Mr. Neff finds
out about the coin.

Thank You John1 for suggesting I send this coin in
New die varieties both obverse and reverse.
The obverse is at the top of the page. the reverse is at the bottom of
the page.
