svslav Pillar of the Community United States 2605 Posts	Posted 11/14/2010 01:06 am This is Egypt part of the Ottoman Empire (centered in Istanbul, Turkey) 1/40 qirsh (Egyptian version of kurus) of Muhhamad V. Ascension year is AH 1327, reignal year 2, so the date of your coin is about 1910. Supposedly it is minted at Heaton mint, Birmingham, England, but I have trouble seeing a tiny H on the botton of the tougra side. The top pic is pretty much upside down, the bottom one needs to go quarter turn counterclockwise. Value? about $1.50 - 5.00 Report this Post to the Staff
