Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 08/26/2006 4:53 pm Hi Amac Were going to need better pics of the lettering, but as a rule, be suspicious of coins like this many people for one reason or another squeeze two coins together leaving some design details of the other coin on them. On this coin,, if it were a clashed die which is one legitimate method of this happening, the unum would not be on the bust but at the rim. Rick Report this Post to the Staff
gusp Valued Member United States 288 Posts	Posted 09/01/2006 11:03 pm This is what makes inverted strikethru's suspect. Short of some other proof, coins get squeezed together to imprint markings.
