Hello All, I hope this is the right place for this post, if not please feel free to move it.

I wanted to share with the forum some of my "Fun" counterfeits and straight up copies.

This one is a copy of a 1740 8-Escudo Spanish Cob. It has some weight to it but is very flat, like a US Quarter. It came in the attached folder/advertisement. It seems that back in the 1920's- 30's you could have received this coin and advertisement to get you to listen to the radio from the Bond Electric Corp of Jersey City, N.J. This has a 1 1/2 cent stamp of Harding and I found that this stamp was issued in 1925.

If anyone can lock down the date of this promotion any closer, please let me know. Thanks for looking, Paul.

Great copy - interesting to note that you can likely date it from the stamp. That does not happen too often and the context of the promotion makes it more valuable as an early advertising item.

Yes Swamperbob this is one of my favorate coins. All I can find on this is the "TREASURE ADVENTURES OF DONALD AYER" was a Radio program during the 1930's. Once in a while you can find other items from this show, flight wings, badges, etc..... Must have been an interesting radio show.
