Was walking by Heritage Galleries in NYC yesterday and they had a blast white mark-free NGC 1921 MS-64 Peace dollar in the window. Picked it up for $625 with free shipping back to my house in VA. Nice to be able to hold a semi-key coin in hand and get it for that price w/ no state tax. Only downside was the $1200 hotel bill for my 3-night stay in the city :)

That's a pretty good price for an attractive 64. MS64 would be Q. David Bowers "Optimal Collecting Grade" for the 1921 Peace. The prices skyrocket at MS65.
Please post some photos if you have a chance.

Wow, that is a beautiful coin. Has anyone ever breathed on it?
I'm totally at a loss for words as to how nice it looks.

Very clean for 64. Looks like a good pick up for the price!

Yeah the thing that struck me about it was the near total lack of distracting marks. I think the NGC graders may have rated it a 64 based on the strike I personally thought it was borderline 65

That thing is stunning! Those obverse fields are sooooooo clean. Small Nic on neck and 2 Small ones on the center of the reverse. I'm guessing the centered nics on the reverse are the reason for the 64 grade? Send it to CAC? Resubmit?

I've seen quite a few 63's and 64's - and that doesn't look like one of them! Nice pick-up!

That's very clean as many have noted. I'm also guessing the strike held it back from a 65.
