New "Grading Companies" are popping up every day. Since there are no laws governing such companies, the market is huge, new folks equate a slab, any slab with better quality and lower risk and on it goes. My feeling is some larger Companies are creating their own grading companies to peddle their sub-standard coins under the guise of a cleverly labeled plastic holder and apparently, based on sales I've seen, the fish are biting! This is one area of the hobby that is out of control. Some of the blame falls squarely on the top TPG'S shoulders for the antics many have been playing by selling out to the highest bidder! We all need to put our heads together to try and figure out how to stop this runaway train. The other sad part of this is there are many new companies that are trying to move into this martket with legitimate grading and value as they stand to be washed away with the glut of crooks before they have a chance to prove themselves Perhaps there is a bigger stratagy at work here by "the big guys". JoJax22 is still selling, has 2 pages of listings on ebay. ALL MS 66 or Higher. Some of the coins appear to have been cleaned

I think he's still hoping to make some money. Did you notice that the last 2 coins sold by Shadowzen66 WEREN'T GCC graded? The feedback on the jojax22 is better, so I'm sure that's why he kept that ID. Give it a little longer and I'm sure this ID will fold too. He hasn't been making any money for a very long time....

I live about 20 miles from New Madrid where Gallery Grading Co. exists. Steve Ward is the owner of it. The building that it is in was condemned by the city and he bought it. I have been following info on it just out of curiousity. New Madrid has a population of about 3200. One main street and a couple of gas stations. I think one general store. He was on ebay selling at one time under the name gallerycoins I believe. And he got kicked off for some reason or shut it down, who knows. I believe he uses uninformed sellers, overgrades the coins , does bad business, after that victim goes down, he goes on to another. But I that is just my opinion. I am trying to find out more info. There are basically just small towns around here and most everyone knows something about their neighbor. ha :)

Received the "MS 68" SBA Dollar. By using the PCGS Standards, this is a MS 64, MS 65 at best. Coin was Over Graded.

As a follow up on my previous intended non-payment and letter of indignation to ebay: no response from either ebay or jojax. It would seem that the dubious hustler loses steam to pursue those who antagonize him; sadly, no helpful response from ebay to indicate they heard my points.

I think gallery grading company may have discovered this thread. I know shadowzen knows about it. I have emailed him and discovered that we have mutual friends. From what he says, he shut down his ebay account etc. because of being mislead in very very many ways. He has hired an attorney and couldnt tell me too much. But when or if things are resolved we should be able to find out more about how Gallery Grading co. was operating and seems to be still operating to some extent.

How the seller reacts at this point will be very important as far as our perception of him. Up until now, I was ready to believe that the seller was aware of the sham grades Gallery assigns. At this point, I'll reserve judgment until I see how this is handled. Please keep us up to date as much as you can.

I cracked the slab on that "MS 68" SBA Dollar. Going to send it along with about 10 other coins to the PCGS soon. I'll let you know what grade it comes back as

I purchased a 1955D RD MS67 from Jojax and I have examined it closley. It looks good to me but I'm no expert. It looks almost brand new to me. I too am going to crack the seal and send this coin out to be graded again by PCGS. Soon we will see what is what. I personally belive it will come back with the same or at least one grade below.

The Key is if it has been cleaned or not. Some of JoJax's coins appear cleaned just from the photo.

Jojax (Todd Bond) has to know at this point the biggest percentage of his coins are overgraded and yet he keeps selling gallery grading company coins. As was said before, there is no way that many high grade coins could be true. It would be like winning the lottery. There's just no way.
Laserwolf, I hope your coin is of good grade, but I would have to see it to believe it. Guess I am just a little skeptical.
