How do you figure out how to pay for lots that say they have like 3 dollars in 90% silver. I need some help. Thanks

There are quite a few websites that post melt values of coins..just google "silver coin melt value"

90% silver dollars contain 0.77346 Troy ounces of silver. Other 90% silver coins (halves, quarters, and dimes) contain 0.7234 Troy ounces per one dollar face value.
40% silver dollars (Ikes) contain 0.31639 Troy ounces, and 40% half dollars (Kennedys) contain 0.14791 Troy ounces or 0.2958 Troy ounces per one dollar face value.
Silver War Nickels contain 1.125 Troy ounces per one dollar face value (20 nickels).
