An aunt of mine just died and left me 2-1964 unc and a 67 unc jFK 1/2 dollars. Today I looked on ebay and I see a wide range of prices for the 64s. 6-12 dollars as I recall. Those of you in the know, what is your opinion? Here's my calculations : .36169 oz AG in an uncirc 64 JFK @ $27 spot is $9.75 roughly in AG alone,so I can get that far in determining its value in AG alone. Since the 64s & 67 are unc, whats an est price above $9.75? How about the 67 40%? Ok now ,the coins came in a cheesy "Publishers Clearing House" continuity program folder etc. My aunt didnt get the rest of the continuation,so all I have is what I mentioned above: 2-1964 unc JFKs and one 67 unc JFK. All of the packaging and misc crap that comes with them is untouched as far as it appears. Does any of this fluff increase the value a couple bucks?

their so common that their not worth anything more than melt(and they may not be unc).
the fancy packaging doesn't help the value either.

There are a few things with the 1964 that could make it more valuable that a regular 64.Do you have pics? If it is a normal 64, in high proof, it could be worth around 12-14 bucks.

As I suspected ,no enhanced value... To best describe them: They havent been removed from their card w/ plastic coverings. To the naked eye they dont appear to have any marks or swirls of any kind on them.
Obverse (eagle side) : One 64 has slight "toning" above the eagle. the coloring covering the words "states of amer". On the other 64, the toning covers all of the coin except the eagle. Well it does cover the tail feathers and wing tips. One is P and one is D mint

Generally they are worth melt value unless there is something extraordinary about the coin.
Current melt is about $9.93 for a 90% JFK and $4.06 for a 40%

at local shows, dealers seem to be paying about $3 for a 40% and about $8.25 for a 90%. in the auctions when the 64's came up, mainly just a dealer bid, no one else really wanted them.
