For starters you will to pay $49 just to join PCGS. As for how much it would cost after that, it is up to what service you select. I would say yes to getting them graded, though I am sending mine in to ANACS.

Quote: is anacs a better grader Some people believe that they have become a lot more conservative but ANACS has a notorious reputation for overgrading moderns so I doubt sending your proofs in to ANACS would be worth it, given that PCGS still commands the most money at auction compared to the other TPG's. As far as sending them into PCGS I would be very cautious, especially if you're new at collecting and aren't proficient at grading yet. 70's fetch a fairly large premium but 69's are a lot more common and getting the majority back as 69's would make you lose both time and money. Here's a link to a pre-sale for PR70 2010 ASE's. http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-Proof-1-oz..._3478wt_1059

Don't spend the $18 extra for a First Strike designation, at least I wouldn't. As far as grading at all? In 2007 and 2008 PCGS only graded 18% of the ASE proofs submitted as PF70DCAM. That's pretty slim odds when those submitted were likely "cherry-picked" for quality. With a 69 grade or less bringing essentially no premium in the secondary markets, you need to weigh the cost-benefit of grading at all. On another note, NGC and ANACS tend to give out a much higher percentage of 70 grades. Look at the pre-sales on ebay. There's a reason why 99% of the "70" pre-sales are NGC. Just my thoughts.
