Completely stumped on this one. Probably something simple I am not thinking of...

2000 Dime

Obverse: MAD just little on right side
Reverse: MAD just little on left side

How can that happen?

No pro but each side has it's own die so why couldn't both dies be misaligned?

Yes, they can each be MAD, although it is rare. Oddly enough, your coin isn't off center much, and if either side of your coin was off as much as it is, it wouldn't really be worth anything. But I bet you could get $5 because both sides are off.

the obverse die is the adjustment die. The reverse is stationary. It could be slightly off center. It would be interesting to see images of the reeding. it may be a partial collar making the rims off center.

Learn something new every day from you guys. I never knew that Rev. was the stationary one (yet it does make perfect sense). I looked at the collar and it is not a partial collar.

I see no horizontal misalignment on the reverse face, just finning of the rim.
Error coin writer and researcher.
