Hi I haven't bought any coins or posted in a couple years. I am just glad I got all that did get in the few years before that. Thanks CC for the tips, such as, buying 2 2006 Ann. silver sets. (unopened) I thought I would ask a question. How lucky am I to have found all denominations, in star notes. I don't handle money and have never gotten a silver coin in change, although I have looked for prolly 30 years.

So do you have a star note of this?

On a serious note, it is pretty good. Your next challenge is to find one of each series (2006, 2004a, 2004, etc) or one from each run.

Currently, I am looking for series.

I am not sure that 'luck' is the proper line of thought.....I would look upon it as a journey into the law of averages....Star notes are by no means rare.....sooner or later everyone will hold these in their hands.....but probably not all denominations at the same time.....this could require both time and effort as you already know.

Actually, there was no time or effort involved. I found them all in maybe two years, and put them away. When I looked at them,a few years ago, was when I saw they were all the different denominations, and I think only one is really circulated much. I haven't gotten any since.

The part of this first post I want to comment on is this...

Wow. In the last 13 or so years I have found around 950 silver nickels, dimes, quarters, and halves in circulation. It's the sound that gives them away. They have a plink sound that I can hear a mile away. Not so much with the nickels, the color and mint mark sell them out.
