It looks suspicious to me. The edge where the clip is on the last image shows a rim on the rim. It shouldn't be there. What appears as a Blakesley affect is in the wrong area, The rims don't fade like they should on an incomplete planchet. So I question it. I would hang on to it and see what others think for now.

I thought heat may be the cause for the toning effect in that area,,,but didnt want to toot my horn,,I really like that date anyway,,thanks

Would one expect to see the Blakesley effect on both sides?

Also, what is Fishtailing? Is it the "fading" mentioned above?

Sometime the Blakesley effect shows on one side or both.
