I am thinking about sending these in to ANACS, but I figured I'd ask the experts first! What do you think?

The 77d half also seen in the album is a possible silver error I am going to have authenticated. It looks and sounds like silver and is a year that may make sense. 95% sure it is a freak cu-ni coin but all the usual signs point to ag! Here is the thread in Modern coins if you are interested.

Your 1900-O Morgan appears to be mint state but has quite a bit of chatter on the obverse cheek and in the fields. I would put him at an MS-62 grade.

The 1910 Barber dime looks like a VG-10 piece. A nice dime with some F-12 details but is held back by the fact only a few letters of Liberty are visible.

The dime is worth about $4.50 retail and the Morgan is worth about $41. At those prices, I would strongly advise against getting them graded since grading won't add much to the value and the cost to certify would be a very large percentage of the coin value.

For the possible silver error, those are probably worth sending to ANACS if it seems to pass all the litmus tests. Never know might be a winning lotto ticket !

While you have some nice coins there, I wouldn't submit any of them for grading. $100 is my cut-off point for considering TPG. If the coin is valued under $100, don't bother certifying it.

What does the rim of the '77 Half look like?

hybes: Your '77-D half certainly looks interesting. Do you have a good gram scale or access to one? 90% silver halves weigh 12.5 grams while 40% silver halves weigh 11.5 grams. Clad halves should come in just under 11.4 grams. These weights are "as minted" or without wear but for Kennedy's there's usually very little wear.

If your coin weighs over 11.4 grams, you've got something VERY unusual.

I do not have a scale. I may ask my wife for one for Christmas though, any suggestions or anything I should stay away from?

Most of the electronic gram scales on ebay are fine. Make sure you get one with resolution to at least 0.1 grams. I bought a NEVA a couple years ago for $15 delivered and it works great. Here's a similar one:

P.S. Save your money on grading fees and buy the scale first.

The U.S. Post Office would probably weigh it for you as a courtesy
