I use the same stuff but I got my binder from staples. My collection grows by leaps and bounds so wanted to use a easy to buy binder so I can buy more quickly if need be. I hate buying on wizard coin supply because shipping is way to much! I only buy from them if I'm placing a huge order.

I actually use these: http://www.brent-krueger.com/coinedge1.htmlfor my ASE's. For most everything else I use the 2x2 cardboard flips and archival pages. Like alf, I also just get my binders at Staples. Get Avery "Clear View", you can create your own covers and spines if you're so inclined. I also agree about buying from Wizard. Aside from shipping costs, they messed up both of my orders, and getting the mistakes rectified was a huge hassle. There are other, better web sites from which to purchase.

No need to spend $25 on a binder. I just use a normal one and it works fine.

Quote: I was going to just store them in a Dansco Album but a lot of folks at my local coin club advised me not to do that because sliding the window can damage the coins(?) Not if you are careful. Make sure the coin is gently and fully inserted into the hole (most coins are much thinner than the cardboard page, making both surfaces well above and below the two slides). Then carefully slide the plastic back in place. Given the patience needed to to this right, it might be easier to insert all the coins into one row at a time, so you are only having to slide the plastic back in one time. That is, get all of the coins first, then put them in the album.

Hello,
Thanks for the advice. I didn't even think of using Brent Krueger. I called their customer service department (which by the way is awesome) and they helped me get exactly what I needed. So I'm thinking of getting 100 2x2 cardboard holders, 100 2.5x2.5 cardboard holders, 1 2x2 Lead Dog coin page, and 1 2.5x2.5 Lead Dog coin page and with shipping that is $21.06 and the same type of stuff (different brands) from Wizard Coin Supply is $19.80 with shipping.
That is a difference of $1.26 but the excellent customer service from Brent Krueger is worth it. Now, since I also need another Proof Set Storage Box and because the customer service guy explained why a flat cinch stapler is better to use for cardboard flips AND it can be used as a normal stapler too because it uses standard staples I'm going to go for that too. That brings my total to $45.51 which I can live with. Also the coin pages fit in any standard 3 ring binder and I have a ton of those already.
So, what are your thoughts? Am I on the right track?
Thanks, Rich

Rich, I hope you mentioned my name Aw, never mind, they only know me by my real name. I have had very good luck with Brent-Krueger. I have never had a need to call them. Good luck.

Hello,
Now that I have decided what to do the only question that remains is what thickness of binder to get, 1", 1.5"?
Any ideas?
Thanks, Rich

Hi Rich. When you store the binders do not stand them up. Lay them flat. I have bought bookcases from Ikea and added many extra shelves so that I have one binder per shelf. If you stand them up the pages will bend and distort from the wight of the coins. Another tip I find that for US cents , nickels and dimes I use 1.5X1.5. They look a lot better and you can put more coins on a page, 30 per page. Another nice touch is to use the pages sideways so when you flip page the opposite side of the coin is not upside down.
I use different size binders for different denominations. Lincoln cents 1.5 inch and Quarters I use 2 inch with 2X2's.
Any more questions?
