vamview Retail guide has the 24 series at around $600 in AU uncleaned.
I seldom submitt, so perhaps someone can advise you of who will grade and attribute this cleaned coin....and the cleaned value is around 1/2 the graded value if I am not mistaken....even at $300 depending on what it initially cost you, another $40-ish might be worth putting in a slab...by a TPG....let us know how it turns out...

I would not waste any money submitting it to a third party grading company. The coin is harshly cleaned.

what would the value be for this coin OZ,, in its harshly cleaned top 100 coin....? the "harshly" effects a lot of the grade/value...

It easily cuts the coin's value by at least half. Having it third party graded adds no value to the coin. It only adds cost to the coin.

My guess as to why they do it is just ignorance. Someone not really into collecting but someone who likes to see a nice shiny coin. I don't believe a dealer or any serious collector would want to ruin its value like that.

R4 and better vams are worth a slight premium for me when I sell them. Might be dumb luck though.
