I know, I know, the title sounds as if I hit the big time. But I stopped at the bank today in order to see if some rolls of halves made it into this weekends night deposits. Well they had no rolls, Again! But they did have three and only three loose ones in the teller tray. The teller says to me, "All I have are these three silver ones. Do you still want them?" So I pulled $2 from my pocket and said I guess I'll take em. Got three nice BU 64 Kens! The most silver I have gotten from a bank all year. One appears to be the Heavily Accented Variety but I am not sure until I can bring up some side by side pics to compare it to.
Update! They are all the regular strike Kens. Just finished checking all the obverse and reverse die markers. Oh well still going into 2x2's and on to the half binder.
Nickelsearcher, and the rest of you guys, I'll get a few pics of those up later in the week. Along with the first day of issue $2 bill the wife has and the 5 graded proofs she bought me a few weeks ago from the Bay. Edited by Tim Stroud

I got so tired of being told no, that I quit asking. Maybe I should go back now that the holidays are here. Maybe people are banking. A guy told me the other day that he deposited 3 rolls of silver quarters because he didn't know what else to do with them!  |

I know what you mean Scoob. These are the first halves I have gotten in about 5 months. There is a bank over in a small town I want to go to. They have always had them every time I have been. Only problem is getting off work in time to make the drive over there before they close. last time I was in there this spring the teller told me that I was the only person that ever came in looking for them. |

13 modern dimes in one roll of LMC's. Well? ... it's my best bank score per face to find ... as pitiful as it is. |
