I was already suspicious of the coin, but before even considering a bid I looked at some heritage examples. Compared to them, the lettering looks too 'modern' and is slightly off in some areas. Do you think this is fake?

Seems like a hefty price with those pictures, doesn't it? Anybody know why the 1811 commands so much more than an 1825, despite similar minted quantities?

If this coin were real, it'd still be worth $2000+. that's why the end price is so high.
