THis is one of the 4 morgans I own. Ive always wondered what was up with it. Its a greyish, silverish color. Any idea what caused this and is it an error?

Wow. Is discoloration above the surface of coin? If this is case maybe glue or pvc residue. Is coloring burned into metal surface? Could be enviornmental damage. Is coloring even with surface? Now that may indicate a true rarity. Improper alloy mix and true rare error on coin of this size, and a keeper. Hope this helps. Gusp

The color is even with the surface. ITs not residue or glue. At the end of the coloring it gets a little darker. Is there any way to see if its an allow mix error?
