Oh, BABY! You are off to a good start with some gorgeous coins in there so far. Take your time - this is going to end up as a heck of a set someday.

Quote: Have you had any trouble fitting your coins into the holes in the albums. I don't experience any problems with some, but a few are really tough to get into the slots and it is so aggravating!
Depends on which Albums. I've heard that the tight fittings are usually Dansco. I have no problems with Whitman Albusm at all with that.

I have been using Dansco albums for over 26 years. I never had any issues until this year, when inserting my 1827 Capped Bust half dollar (into the 7070). I used a round screw driver handle to size out the hole.

I have a large update for my Dansco 7101. I recently purchased the following coins to round out many more common dates. I have also settled on a VF+ set with exceptions for the key dates and a few semi key dates. Here are my new purchases. I will post some pics later on.
1887 VF-25 1890 VF-30 1897 VF-30 1898 VF-30 1900 VF-30 1901 VF-30 1902 VF-35 1903 VF-35 1904 VF-35 1905 VF-35 1906 VF-35 1907 VF-35 1908 VF-35 1909 VF-30

Looks good David! There is the 1869/69 ;) Nice coin! I am also "back on track" to completing my IHC Dansco. Can't wait to pick more up. I am also working on VF+/XF coins with the exception of the 1877 which is a PCGS FR02 for now.

Wow - very impressive and nice coins. This thread makes me want to start an 7101 Dansco collection! I've resisted so far just due to the cost of some of the key dates in VF... But the urge is growing.

The good news is that almost all from 1879 on fairly inexpensive in VF. However, the late 60s, 70s and the keys will be expensive. I will probably do them VG+ as I don't see being able to spend that kind of money for VF, maybe one day.

Seeing all the Dansco People's entrys I just had to go look at my IHC Albums. Mine are mostly all Whitman though except for one Dansco. I just noticed the Dansco does not have a slot for the 1856 Flying Eagle but the Whitman one does. The Dansco has a slot for both Varieties of the 1886 but the Whitman Does not. There are no empty places on the last page of my Whitman Albums but there is 10 empty places on the last page of the Dansco Album. I've noticed the many Dansco Albums with empty places on the last page but none in the Whitman ones. One more reason I'll stick to my Whitmans. It is possible my Dansco is out dated though.
