Why do they have to price it so high?

It weighs five pounds.. I can only imagine the huge amount of information it contains. And yes, I am. I had wanted the first edition but could never find it at a US seller (and most UK peeps who had it didn't want to ship here). I'm glad he did a second version.

I'll post pre-drool pictures after I receive it. After that, no guarantee anything will be legible.

It lists 3 of the Jubilee medals, but not that one. It does have a note that there were quite a few different ones made.

It is indeed an excellent book.

For some, five pounds weight and price five pounds (before inflation) could be confusing.

During WW1 and WW2, American Servicemen living in Great Britain used to call Pommie currency 'Funny Money'!

The blue pages are the plate pages - there are a lot of them:

Lots of good info - it starts at William I (1066) and the last entry is a Royal Mint 2010. Medal Production tables, 249 plates, Index of Medalists and their monograms/initials, Bibliography, good stuff. Random page:

*The strange looking one may not have been family-friendly.. didn't realize what was actually on that page until I was looking at the pictures, so I gimp'ed it. Just wanted to show the photography.

Am going to have lots of fun with this one
