Thought the 5 in the date looked interesting on this one. Is this an overdate? DDO?

No scoob....that is neither overdate or doubled die.....It is actually the effect of tooling (or recutting) of the die for the purpose of redefining a device that has been previously damaged (likely chipped).....A fairly common practice on this vintage of coin die.

Not an overdate, repunched date. An overdate has one number over a different number, a repunch has the number over the same number. Before the early 1900's doubling on the date CAN'T be the result of a DDO. Before the early 1900's the dies were made and possibly a DDO could be created, and THEN the date was punched into the die. Now it is possible to have an overdate or a repunched date on a DDO but the date doubling can't be created by the hub doubling.
