Saw a few Peace dollars at an estate sale and this one looked like it was in the best shape. I paid $28 for it though. I dont think I got a good deal though. kinda paid what it was worth, about MS61 or so... agree, disagree? either way it went in the 7070

Might grade a little higher, MS-62.

62, and that was a good buy with silver as high as it is.

Yeah, you're gonna have to do better than that to screw up.

$28 is a little high for a raw, common-date Peace dollar unless it's choice mint state.

No sweat over a few bucks though. It's a $25 coin and looks MS with good luster.

I don't know. I've been watching common date Morgans and Peace dollars averaging about $32 apiece at auctions.

thanks for the input guys. I feel good about it - and that is what matters right? I feel better about buying higher grade silver than junk right now. I feel like price of silver could do anything right now...

I'd say MS-62 also. Not a steal, but it's not like you lost your shirt either.
