Hello coinsfolk,
I'm thinking of putting my cardboard and hard-framed Uncirculated and proof sets to some PP05 Polypropylene plastic boxes that are commonly found in stores for food storage. My cardboard and proof sets are inside cardboard small post-office boxes at the moment and I want a better protection. Is this safe? What do you think?.. I've got around 40 sets from Us, UK and Turkey that will go into three different boxes. What do you suggest?

Yes, polypropylene is a safe plastic for storage of coins, make sure you add some desiccant to reduce humidity. It is an inert plastic and resistant to most acids and solvents.

Thank you biokemist6, I think I can ask one more question to you...as I feel like you are one of the experts regarding that area.
Does this black ring, sometimes known as volara, or substitutes, are safe and inert, as the companies adversite, around coins, specially copper, uncirculated silver or cupro-nickel?

Always play safe when attempting to use something for storage of coins or anything. Regardless of what anyone says, I always suggest you check out the lables of the product, look up their address and/or phone number and contact them directly. Mention to them what your intensions are for the usage of their product and would like a statement from them as to the safety of that product.
Normally anything that is recommended for food storage is and should be safe for coin storage but you really should verify this with the manufacturer. There is always a possibility that additives have been added to their product that could be safe for food but effect coins.
Always better to be safe than sorry.
