Hi Guys!

Just found this 1851 lare cent. It has a few lines on it that look like die cracks, how ever I am no expert. Please take a look at my pics.

The line on the front is obvious. There is another line on the reverse betwen the "ONE' and "CENT"

Die-Crack,-Or-Post-Mint-Damage-On-This-Large-Cent??

Die-Crack,-Or-Post-Mint-Damage-On-This-Large-Cent??

So are these die cracks, or some kind of post mint damage? Is this coin worth anything based on the tarnish behind liberty's head and neck?

Thanks All!

The gouges on the cent appears to be deliberately done. It was done a very long time ago and the scratches have toned along with the coin. It looks like someone took their aggression out on this cent.
