Wornslick Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 12/18/2010 2:33 pm Well I have started going down my list of Morgans and the first one I needed was a 1878CC. I bought this one, the best he had. I was hoping I could get some opinions on the grade. I don't know what the brown stuff is, the first time I noticed it was on these pics. I think it would grade Fine, but I value your thoughts on it. Thanks for looking.... Report this Post to the Staff

I'd grade the reverse F12 and the obverse close to VF20; F15 overall. I'd soak it an acetone to remove the contamination. ANA #R3154474 Report this Post to the Staff

Make certain you have a suitable container (that usually means real "glass", NOT plastic). Let it soak for an hour or two then rinse it under cool, running water, and pat dry.
