Yes! Yes! I love Mexican coins and have most of the coins that you have pictured in your links and am gradually working back into the 19th century and earlier. The 20 centavos coin is one of my very favorites ... maybe because I have been lucky enough to have stood at the top of the PirĂ¡mide del Sol pictured on it.

Nice coins! Yes, I also love collecting Mexican coins! I collect all the usual great coins like the "Caballito", 1950 Ferrocarril, the 1947-1948 Cuahtemoc, 0.720 Un Pesos, the "onzas", the 5 pesos "Hidalgos" and others. I recently finished my 1oz Libertad set and I am currently working on adding more 8 Reales "Cap & rays" to my collection and I am close fo finishing up my 1st Series 1oz Silver State collection. It is really a blast collecting Mexican coins and I love the fact that you can still get great deals on some varieties.

Thanks, I enjoy collecting Mexican coins. After I finish the type set will think about another set to do maybe the early 1900's 50 centavos or 10 centavos.

Excellent collection Johnny1328 I have around 250 different coins, trying to get them all in UNC condition. This is a very hard job I repeat, cause mexico has around 1300 types of coins. My collection has 8,2,1, 1/2 reales caps and rays of several mints. 8,2,1,1/2 reales bust also diferent mints, state coopers, and some commemorative coins. Any interested in mexican coins to talk, identify or just for fun let me know.

Welcome, Randolph! I'm also into Mexican coins, but narrowed my focus down to War of Independence and portrait 8 Reales series of Carlos III - Fernando VII. Looking forward to seeing some of your pieces and hearing the history behind them. Cheers, Roman. BTW, you can check out some of my collection at https://coins.www.collectors-societ...w.aspx?s=800

Most excellent sets, some real stunning coins in there! I need to look into the 200 peso coins that somehow I have overlooked and do not have I am a big fan of the chickens (Eagles) and Mexican coinage has had no shortage of them. I like how they show the progression of the eagles through the years on the bullion coins.

I collect anything, so yes, but my Mexican collection is quite small as I have never been there. I thought the coins all looked a little rubbish with the "chickens" and that dude on the other side, but looking at your collection seems there is more to it and some nice coins.

I collect mexican coins, but those are part of my spanish currency collection. For now, it goes from year 1000 till 1808 (Carolus IV) - so this include coins from mexico since Carolus I (1516) The oldest one I got are 1,2 and 4 reales from Mexico for Carolus I (silver), and 4 Maravedis (coper) from Mexico for Carolus I.

Quote: I even have one mounted in a ring (shame it doesn't fit) If it needs a larger size, most bench jewelers have ring stretchers. Otherwise, that would be easy to resize by adding or subtracting a piece of metal.
