Looks like just a touch of woodgrain to me.

I'll go with EF45.

I thought that wood grain was more circular?

Nice penny I would say EF45+ borderline AU50. Nice woodgrain toning color looks super natural I doubt a TPG would have any qualms slabbing this.

EF-40, doesn't look cleaned. You should see some evidence of woodgraining on the reverse that is in the opposite direction to the obverse....I think I can see a little.
