Why does it have the back of a Barber half? and no cc mintmark. Wouldnt spend that much without seeing the correct pictures.

i wouldn't bid on it. It's a bargain at $100 in this condition. For that I'd crack the holder and carry it in my pocket, or put it in a belt buckle. At $400 it's tomorrow's headache.

For the same money you can get a nice VG8 or maybe even a F12. 1872-CC is not that uncommon.

20% off a 1000% over priced coin is not a bargain...should be half of the going rate for this year and grade...

I don't care for the pitting on the obverse. It could have been buried at some time and I feel the coin in overpriced because of that.

Keep in mind, this is a $1400 coin at VF25, without the damage.
