I found this cent while roll searching a couple weeks ago. I realized it showed more detail than normal and it had a lot of luster. The edges felt sharper than a normal cent as well. I'm not certain if its proof (if so, it has seen some circulation), so tell me what you think!

The rim looks"proof-like"but I can't say for sure it is a proof.

Hard to tell from those photos but it certainly looks proof strike on abe's bust and the lettering is totally hammered.

In addition, I see some signs of mirroring on the fields and a lot of contrast on the devices which are signs of a proof.

(probably a PR-63 RB)

Thanks for the help. Having it in hand, I would say I am fairly sure it is a proof, but I wasn't certain since this is the first proof cent I have held in hand. The mirroring isn't as obvious due to the time in circulation.

As best I can tell from the given picture it looks like a proof. The die states are too good for a biz strike IMO.

check out the protected areas between letters/numbers and on the field along the edge of lincoln and the memorial building. these areas get very few nicks and scratches and are also often missed on polished coins. if these areas have proof luster, it is probably a proof. in my opinion, it looks like a proof.

A local Coin Dealer I know is breaking the silver out of Proof Sets and tossing the Pennies and Nickels in the cash drawer. You would be amazed at the things people are bringing in to sell now that Silver is so high. He has rolls of OBW 63 and 64 Halves that get tossed into the melting pile.
