Looks like this one is in VF-35 to EF-40 grade. There are various contact marks but nothing too serious. I'd guess it has been cleaned but there are no obvious hairline scratches. It's basically a bullion piece in this circulated grade, with a slight premium since these no-motto half eagles are not as common as the later dates. I'd say $400 to $425 would be a fair price based on the current gold spot value.

I agree with Jaobler and might add that this coin contains 0.242 troy ounces of pure gold. With gold spot (price per troy ounce) at $1,385; the gold in it is worth $335. It is a older (no-motto) common-date that should bring a 20% premium for its numismatic value and that would put it right at $400.

I agree VF30/35 range. A nice coin that has seen a little commerce.
