I have struck out alot lately. 6 boxes of halves and no silver. Add in 2 boxes of nickels with similar results and it makes for a frustrating time. Only positive was that I now have an almost complete set of Kennedy halves in BU I obtained for face value and I found plenty of pre-60's nickels. I will take a break and then get in the saddle again.

I've gone through over 100+ boxes and have found that around half didn't yield any silver. Usually you'll come across a box that gives up 1 or 2 40%, and in some instances, boxes that yield 4/5/6 pieces of silver or more. Very rarely do people come across mega boxes that produce rolls of silver, but it does occasionally happen (myself included). Your more likely to hit it big roll searching than playing the lottery plus you don't loose the money to the govt, so keep on truckin and don't loose motivation. Ignore the skunk boxes and hope for a better box/bag/batch of CWR next week.

I love to roll hunt as a hobby, and have found 400+ silvers this year casually hunting. It's still cheaper and much less time consuming for me to buy my silver at melt, believe it or not.

Depends on how many CRH have been in your area in the last year or so. For my area I wouldn't bother since there seems to have been a certain monster CRH who has mined out most of the silver over the last few years!

No, it's not worth it so don't bother.

I've hit the jackpot a few times pulling 90 and 40%. I once got 6 rolls and there was 40-50% silver in them! CHING $$$

So, don't bother searching and leave that job to me.

Personally, I think hunting halves is a royal pain. Let me recap why:

1) Questions from tellers along the lines of "where'd you get these? Why do you want halves?" over and over again, all the way up to "we don't want those turned in here, take em' back to the guy that gave them to you next time."
2) Tying up thousands of dollars going after one or two 40% coins.
3) If you do it by multiple boxes at once, I think you are accelerating banks moving to "no hunter" policies.
