Picked up this one curious about condition and value. Note the coin appears red in this photo but, in hand, it is a deep chocolate brown color.

Reverse has some MAJOR rotation

Anyone have population info on the rotated reverse? I haven't seen too many for sale over the years with that degree of rotation so I decided to jump on this one as soon as I saw it.

That Large cent looks like it is in VF30 condition to me. It also appears to be weakly struck on the right obverse side of the coin and the area where "States of" on the reverse is. Because it is rotated, these areas are both on the same half of the coin.
Maybe a uneven planchet or does the rotation cause one side to have a wider gap than the other?
If you see others struck from this rotated die pair, I wonder if they also show weakness in the same areas.
I think its a really nice looking coin.

Good find. There are estimated to be 13 to 30 of these with die rotations of 90 to 180 degrees. That said, your photo depicts an 80 degree rotation, but you might not have represented the true rotation in the pic.

He keeps a consensus of all rotated coins. A couple of mine were added to his consensus and you can do the same. Just email him with the info

Here is the info he has:
