Just found this one out of a roll. I believe it may be 1982P-1DO-003 as seen on coppercoins.com.

I can see a die scratch as shown on coppercoins between the T and E of UNITED on the reverse.

What do you think?

Here's a couple more pictures.

It sure looks like the same die scratch as the photo on coppercoins.com. I think I see some traces of of the same die scratches at the M in AMERICA, but it's a little hard to tell for sure with the photos.

I'm pretty sure I've got a match. I think my coin is a later die state. The devices on my coin don't appear to be as sharp. Opinions?

The '82's are really tricky. I see what you mean about the die markers and what are the chances that another die would have similar markers if it wasn't the DDO?

That said, my LIB seems a lot thicker than yours, although that could be die state. Also, I can't really tell in your pics, but do you see the split at the upper right of the Y like mine?

Here's another shot of my LIBERTY.

I don't see that notch like yours. I'm not sure what to think. The right side of the Y on mine looks thicker than the left side, but I don't see that notch like yours. Is it possible that notch on the Y of yours is a well-placed gas bubble?

LIB doesn't appear to be as thick as yours either. It looks like my LIBERTY has a little extra thickness on the vertical bars, but not as much as yours. I notice the extra thickness the most on the bottoms of the letters of GOD.

I was sure I had a match, Scooby. But now I'm not so sure...LOL!

I don't think this is the die in question on the OP's image. The markers appear close, but they are not an exact match. The smaller marks near the rim on UNITED are not in the same spots. The die flow lines on the M on AMERICA are also different. They may be similar, but not a match. The thing I don't see is the doubling on the obverse. I see nothing doubled. The coin appears to be a large date copper planchet? Let me know and I can make some images to show if this is normal or a doubled die. All I see so far is just a normal coin.
ADDED:
Here is a side by side comparison of the two images.

They are not from the same dies.

I agree with coop that the rev die marks don't match exactly to 1DO-003. Then I was thinking that it's possible for the obv die to have been changed on a error/variety coin. So one side may match and the other side wouldn't because it had been changed. But not on the OP coin. Does this make sense to anyone? I may have worded it wrong.

The side by side photos helped a lot. You got the scale perfect between the two sets of photos! LIBERTY is clearly not the same.

Oh well...back to searching! LOL!

Thanks guys!

Thanks CWB. The side by side does give the perspective better than looking at two different coins.
