Has anyone ever heard of a 1992 quarter without a mint mark? I found one in a bank roll recently. The space where the mint mark should be was unblemished. The "In" in "In God we Trust" was also missing. I couldn't find any information telling me of a variety in which either of these errors occurred.

This is likely a case of a Grease Filled Die. No extra value.

Yes looks like a Grease Filled Die. You might find someone who would be willing to pay a little for 'no mintmark', but it is unlikely.

I know this is a few years late, but yes to your question about the 1992 quarter without a mint mark. I have one, and have been looking for a long time for a second. I was also told mine was a result of grease. If you still have yours, would you be interested on selling it?

Considering they only have two posts and this was 4 years ago, I doubt they will ever see your comment. In addition, it is against the rules to make offers when you only have a few posts.

Maybe that could be viewed as an offer, but like RollSeeker doubted, someone has indeed been looking and would be interested. Grossa4747 perhaps would want to list it since he/she might learn that someone is looking. I'm glad I stumbled into this forum and am thankful for anyone's advice. I'm excited to find my coin's long lost sibling and hope for the best. Grasso4747, 1992 quarter odds listed on my ebay wish list in case it's eventually listed for competitive bidding.

Thank you for creating this post and to everyone that has replied. I found one of these 1992 no mintmark quarters yesterday morning in pocket change. I'm a ' Washington quarters guy' and a 'varieties guy' and CRH to kill time and learn strike characteristics of all denominations, years, mints, etc. A few years in and still learning. The portion of the quarter shown in previous pic resembles my 1992 quarter almost exactly. The exceptions being: mine has a rim ding at K-6 and a railroad from K-10 to K-12 on the OBV. The other devices also appear to be pushed north (PUP being the hair over/near ear area. REV shows no evidence of MD or it being a " Greaser", but the is a railroad from K-5ish to K-10. So, hammer had excess grease or was LDS or abraided only at K-4 and at K-8; and/or the whole setup had at least one tilted hub, maybe both hammer and anvil? The REV devices are all sharp and crisp, just the RR on that arc segment on rim.
